Dryness is the result of a lack of moisture. The easiest remedy for that is to rehydrate from the inside out by drinking lots of water. If you’re making sure to get adequate amounts of water during the day, especially if you’re living in a place where there is very hot or very cold weather, this may clear up your problem on its own. But you may need some extra help.

Vitamin E has been proven to give a noticeable glow to the skin, so try eating foods that are high in vitamin E such as seeds, nuts, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, pumpkins, beets, turnips, fish, mangoes and papayas. These whole, nutritious foods may help you with your dry skin problem, and vitamin E capsules can work wonders externally. You can simply break the capsules open and smooth the cream on your face or look for gentle skin creams or lotions that have a high vitamin E content. Remember to apply any creams of lotions to your face while its still a bit wet to lock the moisture in. But don’t use water that’s too hot, otherwise it will have the reverse effect. Lukewarm water is best.
