A Healthier You... (Part 7)

19. Rub-a-dub

Become your own masseuse in minutes. ‘This a mini detox and reviver you can do every other day for a week during your shower,’ says Emma Davis, an aromatherapist at alternative-health centre Bliss. First, make up your oil: to a base oil of 100ml sweet almond oil, add eight drops of grapefruit oil, seven drops of juniper berry oil, six drops of rosemary oil and four drops of lemon oil. Turn the shower up hot and exfoliate all over using loofah, concentrating on your buttocks, thighs, groin, the backs of your knees and under your arms. Finally, drink at least a liter of water. Remember to avoid sunlight and sunbeds for 12 hours afterwards. (Do not do this if you are pregnant.)

20. Health From A Bottle

Pour a glass of red wine, sit back and sip. We all know that red wine is good for your health, but now we know why. Researchers at the London School Of Medicine And Dentistry have discovered that red wine contains a polyphenol that can halve the production of a molecule implicated in the thickening of blood vessels.
